A friend of mine built one of these about a year and a half ago. Finally, about a month ago, I decided to build one too. When I was young, one of my favorite toys was an erector set (http://www.erector-sets.com). If you download the instructions from RepRap.org you will see this is like building a high tech project with an erector set. All of the parts can be purchased from most local hardware stores or on Ebay.

My friend and I spent 4 or 5 evenings and all day one Saturday assembling and adjusting the printer. I was lucky, I had his year and a half of experience to guide the process instead of having to stumble through it all alone. Thanks Brian!!! Below are a few pictures of the construction process.
